Options — Colors

The Colors tab tunes how RapiD Vision matches a product's measured color against your company's configured custom colors — the same matching used for Color sorting recipe conditions and Color report filters. It only applies to the top camera.

Note

Custom colors themselves (the palette this tab matches against) aren't configured from this tab — they're set up per company. Contact RapiD Engineering if you need a custom color added or changed.

A live preview on the left shows the masked pixels and mean color swatch for the most recent top-camera detection, so you can see the effect of a slider immediately as you drag it.

Field Description
Measured Width (0.05–1) Fraction of the product's width sampled, centered on the blob. Narrower avoids head/tail edges.
Hue Tolerance (0–30) How far a pixel's color may drift from the configured palette colors before it's dropped.
Min Saturation (0–255) Raise to drop washed-out pixels: belt, specular highlights, grey marks.
Min Brightness (0–255) Raise to drop dark pixels: shadows, cavities, deep wounds.

Advanced

Collapsed by default — these are fallback knobs rather than everyday tuning:

Field Description
Min Fraction (0–1) If fewer than this fraction of pixels survive the filter, the unfiltered average is used instead.
Fallback Hue Low / Fallback Hue High (0–179 each) The fallback hue band, only used when no custom colors are configured.
