User Roles
RapiD Vision uses role-based access: every user account has a role that decides which pages appear in the navigation menu and which actions are available. Roles apply to both the desktop app and the browser app.
The Roles

| Office | Planning and administration | Production data — Data, Reports, Analytics, History and Alerts — without machine or settings access. |
| Operator | Production staff | Running the machines: Options, Configurations, Sortings, Lanemanagement and live machine actions. No ERP data. |
| Manager | Supervisors | Everything within the own company. |
| Admin | RapiD Engineering | Everything, across all companies. |

Note
In the browser app, Live View is its own menu item. In the desktop app, open it from Home with the Open live button.
Machine actions — Restart machine, Trigger batch change, Reset ecomode, and changing the active configuration, sorting recipe or detection classes — require Operator or higher. For Viewer and Office users these buttons are hidden.
Role Assignment
Roles are assigned per user by RapiD Engineering. To add a user or change someone's role, contact info@rapidengineering.nl.
- A role change takes effect at the next sign-in: sign out and back in to pick it up.
- A user without an assigned role gets Viewer access.
Working with Multiple Companies
Users who belong to more than one company (and administrators) can change the active company:
- Open the settings dialog with the cog icon in the top-right corner.
- Under Company, pick the company to switch to.
The switch takes effect immediately — no restart or page reload needed.
